Don’t just imagine the possibility—join us.Your LeadershipManaging, in conjunction with the Pastry Chef, the inventory, control of all equipment and china required for events and restaurantsPrepare and order all items for all menus, creates order sheets and inventory systems to always ensure proper stock levelsSupports on creation of a weekly schedule for all pastry Associates, managing payrollSupports and monitors execution and delivery of the amenity program for the hotelAttend BEO meetings, in absence of pastry chef communicate information to pastry department, oversee pastry production flow and adjust in order to adhere to control procedures for cost and qualityMonitor to ensure proper receiving, storage (including temperature setting) and rotation of food products so as to comply with Health Department regulations, including coverage, labeling, dating, and placing items in proper containers of kitchen and serviceCheck to see that all equipment in the kitchen is clean and in proper working condition, review daily cleanliness practices with culinary team and keep up with daily cleaning scheduleEnsure the department abides by all safety and sanitation policiesHave the desire to create WOW momentsPerform additional duties as assigned that may be outside the scope of duties, based on business needsAbout YouYou are passionate about exceptional pastry experienceYou are exceptional in leading a teamYou are open to learning, developing, and growing both yourself, personally, and helping others do the sameYou have the ability to work independently or as part of a teamYou have the ability to prioritize and organize work assignments, multi-taskYou are passionate about creating memorable dining experiencesYou are trustworthy and have integrityMust HavesA minimum of two years of previous pastry experience preferredKnowledge of pastryAbility to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidaysLuxury hotel experience, a plusYou Will EnjoyDTO (Discretionary Time Off)Healthcare benefitsHealth Savings Account and Flexible Spending Accounts401 [k] retirement plan with company matching, fully vested, and loan optionBanking and Investing Program offers preferred rewards, mortgage discount, and waived feesFertility & Family Forming AssistanceParental leave pay differentialPet InsuranceHotel discountsFree mealsFitness & wellness discountsLinkedIn Learning membershipHearts of (insert brand)/Hearts of Pendry community engagementAssociate’s events throughout the yearPhysical RequirementsGrasping, holding, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, bending overAbility to stand and exercise mobility for extended periods of time during your scheduled shiftAbility to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly and for extended periods during the shiftAbility to push and pull food serving equipment and carts weighing up to 200 pounds on a semi - regular basisAt (insert brand), we want every guest and every associate to feel that they belong.
