Are you passionate about environmental justice, human rights, or building a more equitable world? Earth Rights Institute is looking for a creative volunteer to help us share our work with a global audience and inspire more people to get involved.

About the role

Earth Rights Institute works at the intersection of land rights, environmental justice, and regenerative development. Our work spans community programs, field visits, partnerships, events, fiscal sponsorships, and policy advocacy. We need a dedicated volunteer to help us communicate that work consistently and compellingly across our social media channels.

This is a flexible, remote role that gives you a behind-the-scenes view of a mission-driven organization doing meaningful work around the world. And can provide you connections in this global community.

What you'll do

• • Create and schedule 2–3 posts per week across Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and our website
  • Cover a range of ERI activities: field programs, events, partnerships, organizational updates, and more
  • Select and curate photos, videos, and quotes to bring our work to life online
  • Write captions and short-form content that informs, engages, and inspires our audience
  • Suggest creative content ideas such as reels, quote cards, highlights, campaign concepts, and more

What we're looking for

• • Curiosity about environmental justice, human rights, land rights, or global development
  • Strong writing and storytelling instincts
  • Familiarity with Instagram, Facebook, and/or LinkedIn
  • Self-directed, reliable, and comfortable working remotely
  • Ability to translate complex topics into accessible, engaging content
