STATUS:Full & Part-time, hourly, non-exempt PAY: $19-$21/hour plus tips, based on experience ABOUT THE ROLE: The Pizza Line and Prep Cooks are responsible for preparing ingredients, executing menu items, and maintaining high standards of food quality, safety, and cleanliness throughout the kitchen. These roles support prep production and line execution, helping deliver exceptional pizza and guest experiences while contributing to a positive team culture. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Food Preparation & Execution Prepare ingredients, sauces, dough, proteins, and menu components according to recipes and standards. Execute assigned stations efficiently during service. Maintain organized, stocked, and service-ready workstations. Ensure consistency in dough handling, stretching, topping, and baking. Follow recipes, portion standards, and prep procedures. Complete daily prep lists and production tasks as assigned. Assist with opening, closing, and cleaning procedures. Properly label, date, rotate, and store products following FIFO practices. Food Safety & Quality Maintain cleanliness, organization, and food safety standards across all stations. Ensure prepared food meets presentation, temperature, and quality standards. Adhere to all food safety, sanitation, and health department requirements. Support deep cleaning and routine maintenance of kitchen areas and equipment. Communicate inventory or equipment concerns to kitchen leadership. QUALIFICATIONS: Previous restaurant or kitchen experience required Pizza experience preferred, and a passion for great pizza required Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Strong attention to detail and commitment to food quality. Reliable, self-motivated, and team-oriented . Ability to follow recipes, procedures, and food safety standards. Ability to work evenings, weekends, and event-heavy periods. WORKING CONDITIONS: As these positions work in a kitchen/restaurant environment, the physical demands include, but are not limited to: Standing and walking for extended periods, often for the entirety of a scheduled shift. Frequently bending, twisting, reaching, kneeling, stooping, and performing repetitive motions with hands, wrists, and arms. Frequently lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling up to 30 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds. Working in close proximity to hot ovens, heated equipment, open cooking surfaces, and high-temperature food products. Exposure to fluctuating temperatures, including hot kitchen conditions and walk-in coolers and freezers. Handling pizza dough, flour, food products, and common food allergens, including wheat, dairy, eggs, tree nuts, and other ingredients used in the kitchen. Exposure to airborne flour, cooking smoke, steam, food aromas, and cleaning chemicals. Operating kitchen equipment including mixers, slicers, food processors, knives, ovens, and other commercial food preparation equipment. Working safely around wet floors, sharp tools, hot liquids, and other hazards common to food service environments. Ability to wear required personal protective equipment and comply with all safety, sanitation, and food handling requirements.
