Client Accounting Services Associate

Position Overview

Our client is an established Oklahoma City accounting and advisory firm seeking a Client Accounting Services Associate to support a diverse portfolio of clients. This position is ideal for an accounting professional who enjoys hands-on work, client interaction, and exposure to a variety of accounting functions.

The Client Accounting Services Associate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, processing accounting transactions, preparing reconciliations and financial statements, and supporting payroll and tax-related services. The ideal candidate is organized, responsive, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

* Manage day-to-day accounting activities for multiple clients
* Post and process accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll transactions
* Perform periodic bank, A/R, A/P, and other balance sheet reconciliations
* Prepare and maintain depreciation and amortization schedules
* Prepare debt amortization schedules and other supporting schedules
* Assist with interim and year-end closing processes
* Process payroll and sales tax services, including required filings
* Prepare basic financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
* Communicate clearly and proactively with clients and internal team members
* Provide timely status updates to managers and firm leadership
* Complete client projects accurately and within established deadlines
* Identify discrepancies or issues and communicate them promptly
* Ask questions and seek guidance when needed
* Maintain organized and accurate client records
* Support additional accounting projects and client needs as assigned

Qualifications

* Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field **and/or** 4–5 years of relevant accounting experience
* Strong understanding of fundamental accounting principles
* Experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, and general ledger accounting
* Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
* Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
* Strong written and verbal communication skills
* Ability to work independently while also contributing effectively to a team
* High level of attention to detail and accuracy
* Professional and client-focused approach
* Flexible and adaptable in a changing work environment
* Strong computer and technology skills
* QuickBooks Online (QBO) experience is a plus
