Pediatric and Neonatal Critical Care Transport RN – Seattle, WA Travel Contract

Join our Seattle healthcare team as a Pediatric and Neonatal Critical Care Transport Registered Nurse (RN) supporting high-acuity ground transport for neonates, infants, children, and adolescents. This 13-week travel nursing contract is ideal for an experienced pediatric transport nurse who provides safe, compassionate care during interfacility transfers and thrives in a collaborative critical care environment.

In this on-site travel RN role, you will work alongside respiratory therapists and advanced practice providers while caring for medically complex pediatric patients. Seattle offers an energetic urban setting with beautiful waterfront views, diverse neighborhoods, and year-round outdoor recreation.

Travel RN Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,370–$2,500
• Schedule: Three 12-hour night shifts per week, 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Call: No call required
• Floating: May float to the NICU, PICU, or pediatric units to provide bedside nursing coverage

Pediatric Transport Nurse Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license eligible for practice in Washington; compact license must be in hand when applicable
• At least 2 years of recent Registered Nurse experience, including at least 1 year of relevant critical care, pediatric, or neonatal nursing experience
• Previous ground critical care transport experience is required
• Current BLS, NRP, and PALS certifications
• Experience with Epic or another electronic health record (EHR) system
• Strong clinical judgment and the ability to safely manage neonatal and pediatric patients during interfacility transport
• Charge nurse experience preferred

Critical Care Transport RN Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive critical care nursing during ground transport of neonatal and pediatric patients
• Collaborate with respiratory therapists and advanced practice providers during pediatric patient retrievals and interfacility transfers
• Receive patients from emergency departments, NICUs, labor and delivery units, and other hospital departments for transport to a higher level of care
• Monitor and manage ventilated patients, acute airways, tracheostomies, BiPAP/CPAP, high-flow nasal cannula, chest tubes, central lines, arterial lines, and IV therapies as indicated
• Perform continuous patient assessments, medication administration, pediatric dosage calculations, and interpretation of arterial blood gases and cardiac rhythms
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and communicate patient status, interventions, and handoff information clearly
• Provide bedside nursing support in the NICU, PICU, or pediatric units when transport coverage is not required
