Job Title Road Technician (Pump and Power Road) Job Description Summary Responsible for troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing complex mechanical, electrical, and diesel equipment associated with pumps, generators, HVAC, and air compressors. May lead and train other team members in the absence of a Shop Foreman or Service Manager. Responsibilities Diagnose and repair complex mechanical and electrical equipment on all types of pumps and power equipment. Perform advanced and complex repairs, including load bank testing and refrigeration systems. Scope customers’ needs and provide solutions. Lead and train other team members in equipment repair when needed. Operate and maintain dehumidification equipment, VFDs, VSDs, soft starters, and motor starters. Comply with safety and regulatory requirements. Qualifications 5‑7 years of experience repairing and maintaining pump & power equipment. Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record. DOT physical examination (medical card) required. EPA section 608 universal certification required. Advanced knowledge of mechanical, electrical, diesel equipment, generators, HVAC and air compressors. Advanced understanding of refrigeration (EPA Certified). Mastery of load bank repairs, electrical engines, and controllers. Experience with VFDs, VSDs, soft starts, and motor starters. Some factory training in diesel, generator, compressor, HVAC is preferred. Physical Demands Bending, squatting, crouching, reaching, lifting 25 pounds or more, and working indoors or outdoors as required by the job.
