Overview
Registered Nurse – Med Surg Tele in Rochester, NY. Travel - Temporary Assignment starting 08/24/2026 for multiple weeks. Weekly pay: $1,861–$1,996. Shift: 4x12 Nights. Setting: hospital-based medical-surgical telemetry unit; patient population includes adults and geriatrics with cardiac diagnoses. Orientation: 16 hours. Floating within scope is required.

Responsibilities
- Provide direct, unit-based nursing care for adults and geriatrics with cardiac and medical-surgical needs on a MS/Tele track
- Monitor cardiac rhythms, interpret dysrhythmias, and respond to rhythm disturbances; collaborate with rapid response as needed
- Administer medications and manage IV therapy; perform phlebotomy and peripheral IV placement
- Deliver oxygen therapy and non-invasive airway support; adhere to isolation precautions and PPE protocols
- Coordinate care with interdisciplinary team (IV team, PT, Respiratory, Radiology, Social Services, Pharmacy, Transportation); document in the electronic charting system
- Participate in unit operations, including code/rapid response activation and patient transport as required

Requirements
- Active NY RN license in hand; pending licenses not accepted
- Minimum 1 year of recent RN experience; first-time travelers accepted
- BLS certification; NIHSS certification required
- Education: graduate of an accredited nursing program (RN)
- Unit familiarity: Med Surg Tele with cardiac care experience; ability to float within scope to similar units
- Ability to work in a hospital setting on a 4x12 night schedule; EPIC experience preferred
