Middle Database Specialist

We are looking for a skilled Database Specialist to support a comprehensive database analysis and optimization project. The role involves working with multiple systems, including webshop, prepress, and production databases. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in MySQL and experience in performance tuning, data structure optimization, and collaborating with development and IT teams. Requirements: Extensive experience with MySQL databases; Strong background in database structure analysis and performance optimization; Proficiency in SQL and query optimization techniques; Ability to implement indexing strategies and improve database efficiency; Experience working with developers and IT teams to align database requirements with business needs. Will be a plus: Familiarity with additional relational and NoSQL databases; Knowledge of other query languages; Experience with large-scale database migrations or architecture improvements. Responsibilities: Conduct in-depth analysis of existing database structures, performance, and data quality; Identify and implement necessary adjustments to data models for current and future needs; Optimize database performance through indexing, query tuning, and resource management; Collaborate closely with development and IT administration teams to ensure database requirements are effectively captured and implemented.
