Job Description What your day might look like: The R&D Intern participates in laboratory analysis and pilot plant dataacquisition for various types of evaporation and crystallization processes. As part of the Research & Development team, you will work with ResearchEngineers and Research Chemists executing experimental protocols, meetingquality and schedule goals, and ensuring research objectives are achieved. You will work on projects from the initial concept phase, through laboratorytesting, data analysis, and protocol development. Key Responsibilities: In this role, your responsibilities will include (but are not limited to): Laboratory Support: Assist Research Engineers and Research Chemists inconducting laboratory analysis and pilot plant data acquisition for evaporationand crystallization processes Equipment Monitoring: Monitor and maintain laboratory testing equipment,ensuring proper operation and data integrity Data Collection & Analysis: Obtain, organize, and analyze experimental data Engineering Calculations: Perform engineering design calculations related toresearch findings and process optimization under the guidance ofexperienced Research Engineers Protocol Development: Assist in developing, documenting, and validatinglaboratory test protocols and standard operating procedures Documentation: Maintain detailed laboratory notebooks, project records, andtechnical documentation Quality Assurance: Validate that all experimental data, test results, andtechnical documentation are completely and accurately recorded andconsistent Team Collaboration: Communicate findings and observations effectively withResearch Engineers, Research Chemists, and cross-functional teams throughwritten reports and verbal updates Project Support: Assist with project issue resolution related to experimentaldesign, testing, and data interpretation General Support: Assist with additional research-related tasks as assigned Qualifications Our Ideal Candidate Currently pursuing a degree in Chemical Engineering or MechanicalEngineering Must have completed junior year prior to internship start date Excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong computer literacy and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite Strong organizational and communication skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Good technical writing and oral communication skills Ability to communicate effectively and contribute to team and departmentprojects Ability to manage time and prioritize tasks at hand Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to follow laboratory safety protocols and procedures Additional Information Join a company that values Responsibility, Solidarity, Innovation, Customer Focus, and Respect. The range is not an absolute, but a guide, and offers will be based on the individual candidate’s knowledge, skills, experience, and market conditions, as well as internal peer equity. Depending upon all the preceding considerations for the final selected individual candidate, the offer may be lower or higher than the stated range: $20.00-$30.00 USD.
