Director of Accounting and Finance

Leading the Finance Department, the full-time remote Director of Accounting and Finance will manage accounting operations, financial reporting, budgeting, and cash flow management while supporting organizational decision-making and improving financial stewardship. Key responsibilities Oversee day-to-day operations of the Finance Department, ensuring timely completion of responsibilities and fostering a culture of accountability Direct accounting operations, including financial reporting, month-end and year-end close, and grant accounting, while maintaining compliance with GAAP Support budgeting and financial forecasting processes, monitor cash flow, and manage grant-funded programs to ensure financial compliance Required qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a closely related field Minimum of seven years of experience in accounting or finance, with at least three years in a leadership role Demonstrated experience in accounting operations, financial reporting, budgeting, and cash flow management Strong knowledge of GAAP and experience with financial statement audits and nonprofit accounting principles Experience managing grant-funded programs, including financial reporting and compliance activities
