Patient Services Receptionist

Urology Specialists of the Carolinas is one of the largest independent urology groups in the country, proudly serving patients across the Carolinas. We are seeking a Patient Services Receptionist to join our expanding clerical team of dedicated professionals. The ideal candidate will be a compassionate, detail-oriented individual with a commitment to patient care, teamwork, and clerical excellence.

Responsibilities include:

Performing clerical duties in a medical setting, such as scheduling appointments, taking copays, deductibles and patient balances, and assisting with check-in and check-out.
Verifying and updating demographic and insurance information; scanning identification and insurance information into EMR
Responding to inquiries about benefits, balances, and authorizations in a timely and professional manner
Managing provider calendars, ensuring referral or authorization requirements are met; supporting scheduling of new and follow-up patients
Managing incoming calls and triaging messages; ensuring all staff are promptly notified of all patient arrivals, cancellations, and schedule changes

Requirements include:

High school diploma or GED required
Experience handling insurance verification, prior authorization, and patient collections preferred
