Are you compassionate, dependable, and passionate about helping others? Join our team as a Direct Support Professional (DSP) and play a vital role in enhancing the lives of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. In this rewarding position, you'll provide hands-on support that promotes independence, dignity, and a high quality of life.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct care and support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
- Assist with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, grooming, dressing, feeding, and mobility.
- Monitor individuals' health and well-being, reporting any changes or concerns to the appropriate staff.
- Perform basic health care-related tasks in accordance with established care plans.
- Encourage independence while ensuring a safe, respectful, and supportive environment.
- Build positive relationships with individuals, families, and team members.
- Complete required documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Must have a minimum of 6 months experience with special needs and mental health
- Compassionate, patient, and dependable with excellent communication skills.
- Ability to assist with lifting, transferring, and other physical aspects of personal care.
