Travel Plaza Cashier

As a Travel Plaza Cashier at Onvo, you will be the friendly face our customers encounter, responsible for processing sales transactions accurately and efficiently, maintaining a clean and organized store environment, and providing excellent customer service. Responsibilities Operate cash register and point-of-sale (POS) system to accurately process customer purchases of fuel, merchandise, and services. Handle cash, credit, and debit card transactions, providing correct change and receipts. Greet customers warmly, answer questions, and assist with product location and information. Maintain a clean and organized sales area, including dusting shelves, stocking merchandise, and cleaning spills. Perform daily opening and closing procedures, including cash drawer reconciliation. Monitor and report any suspicious activity or security concerns to management. Assist with inventory checks and restocking shelves as needed. Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including those related to alcohol and tobacco sales. Communicate effectively with team members and management. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Previous experience in a retail or customer service role is a plus. Ability to accurately handle cash and operate a POS system. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds. Basic math skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Onvo is an equal opportunity employer.
