Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to provide comprehensive respiratory care in a busy acute care hospital. The therapist will assess, treat, and monitor patients with cardiopulmonary conditions while collaborating with physicians and the interdisciplinary healthcare team. Responsibilities include administering respiratory treatments, performing diagnostic testing, responding to emergency situations, and supporting patients requiring advanced airway and ventilatory management.

• Minimum 2 years of Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) experience
• Previous travel experience preferred
• Active Michigan Respiratory Therapist License
• Active NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) Certification
• Current BLS (AHA)
• Current ACLS (AHA)
• Current PALS (AHA)
• Current NRP Certification
• Experience working in an acute care hospital preferred
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility

Responsibilities

• Perform respiratory assessments and protocol-driven patient evaluations
• Administer respiratory medications via aerosol treatments and metered-dose inhalers
• Perform therapeutic and diagnostic cardiopulmonary procedures
• Respond to rapid response, code blue, and emergency situations
• Manage artificial airways and provide ventilatory support
• Perform CPR and advanced life support interventions as needed
• Set up, monitor, and maintain oxygen therapy according to protocol
• Document patient care accurately in Epic EMR
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure quality patient care
