Make a positive impact in education by supporting students as a school-based Occupational Therapist for the full 2026-2027 academic year! This full-time position offers a dynamic environment where your expertise in pediatric and school settings will directly contribute to student success, growth, and independence. Collaborate closely with educators and support teams to deliver comprehensive OT services, helping students overcome barriers and access their curriculum.
Qualifications/Desired Experience:
- Valid Occupational Therapist license in California
- Previous experience in school-based or pediatric settings
- Skilled in conducting assessments, writing IEPs, and implementing individualized therapy plans
- Strong communication and documentation abilities
- Collaborative attitude to work well within interdisciplinary teams
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct occupational therapy services to students as outlined by their Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Conduct thorough assessments to determine student needs and strengths
- Develop and implement individualized intervention plans focusing on fine motor skills, sensory processing, and daily living activities
- Consult and collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to optimize student outcomes
- Maintain accurate documentation, progress notes, and participate in IEP meetings
- Support classroom modifications and adaptive strategies, ensuring every student can fully participate in school activities
