Responsibilities
- Assist physicians with diagnostic and interventional cardiovascular procedures, including invasive and non-invasive tests of the heart, lungs, and blood vessels; support during procedures and in the cath lab.
- Operate and troubleshoot specialty procedure equipment (C-Arm, angiographic injectors, monitors) and maintain appropriate technical factors for each case.
- Monitor patient vital signs throughout procedures, maintain sterile/aseptic technique, and enforce radiation safety practices with proper shielding and collimation.
- Prepare, calibrate, and stock cath lab supplies; manage equipment maintenance needs and document test results and procedural details.
- Assist during administration of contrast media and during various cath lab cases; contribute to post-procedure care and accurate EPIC documentation.

Requirements
- Licenses/Certifications: ARRT-R (Radiography) required; Radiologic Tech (RT) licensure in California and Hawaii required; current fluoroscopy license required in California within 6 months of hire.
- Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR certification from an approved vendor required.
- Experience: At least two years of recent cardiovascular/cath lab experience; one year catheterization experience preferred; EPIC experience is advantageous.
- Education: Associate’s Degree or equivalent combination of education/related experience preferred.
- Additional: Ability to work in a hospital/cath lab setting and scrubbing/monitoring for structural heart, vascular, diagnostic, and emergent cath cases; valid licensure and credentialing as required by state of assignment.
