Executive Director, Strategic Delivery & Growth

Fortrea seeks an Executive Director to lead strategic delivery and growth for its Global Clinical Development division. This senior role oversees business development, therapeutic area strategy, and team leadership across rare diseases and pediatrics, requiring deep industry expertise and commercial acumen.

Responsibilities

Design innovative trial solutions and build rare disease and pediatrics portfolio across therapeutic areas
Lead end-to-end business development including RFI response, proposals, bid defense, and client presentations
Develop GenMed strategic roadmap and shape therapeutic area growth through councils and account planning
Build and manage high-performing Strategic Delivery & Growth team with clear accountability and succession planning
Foster cross-functional partnerships across Commercial, Medical, Delivery, and Functional Leadership teams

Requirements

Bachelor's degree minimum; advanced degree, APRN, MPH, PhD, or MBA preferred
15+ years in R&D and clinical research at pharmaceutical, biotech, or CRO organizations
3+ years leading cross-functional full development programs from concept to operational delivery
5+ years global leadership experience in complex, matrixed environments
Established senior relationships with pharma, biotech, KOLs, and therapeutic ecosystem partners
Demonstrated ability to translate market intelligence into differentiated positioning and growth
Financial acumen in P&L, budgeting, forecasting, and resource management

Compensation: $210,000–$240,000 base
