System Administrator

TEKsystems is seeking a System Administrator to support one of our partner companies in the finance industry. This position is located in Honolulu, Hawaii and 100% onsite.DescriptionThis position will be responsible for managing and maintaining computer systems, servers, and networks. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of the IT infrastructure. The ideal candidate would be someone who has experience in systems and servers with at least a basic understanding of networking and security.Responsibilities:- Install, configure, and maintain operating systems, servers, and software applications- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues- Manage user accounts, permissions, and access rights- Perform system backups and data recovery- Collaborate with IT team members to implement new technologies and systems- Conduct regular system audits to identify potential vulnerabilities- Provide technical support to end-usersSkills & Qualifications:- Experience with virtualization technologies like VMware ESXi- Proficiency with Windows operating systems and Cloud (AWS/Azure/GCP)- Proficiency with physical and virtual servers- Understanding of computer hardware, software, and networking principles- Experience with Active Directory and managing user accounts- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python or PowerShellJob Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Honolulu, HI.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $30.00 - $50.00/hr.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
