Key Duties Include: Direct and manage daily dietary department operations Ensure compliance with federal, state, local, and facility regulations Oversee food preparation, production, service, and meal delivery Maintain high standards of food quality, sanitation, and safety Collaborate with the Registered Dietitian and clinical care team Support menu planning and therapeutic diet implementation Recruit, train, coach, and supervise dietary staff Manage food ordering, inventory, and budget controls Conduct quality assurance audits and implement improvements Drive resident satisfaction through exceptional dining experiences Maintain accurate documentation and department records Assist with survey readiness and regulatory compliance initiatives Qualifications Required Current Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) certification High School Diploma or equivalent Knowledge of food service management, sanitation, and dietary regulations Previous supervisory experience in dietary, food service, or nutrition services Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills Preferred Experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) , Long-Term Care, Rehabilitation Center, Assisted Living Community, or Healthcare Facility Understanding of therapeutic diets and nutrition services Experience with healthcare surveys, compliance, and regulatory standards About Napa Valley Care Center Napa Valley Care Center is proud to provide outstanding skilled nursing, rehabilitation, and long-term care services to the Napa community.
