Salary Range 24.42 Job Description Summary : Keeps premises of commercial, retail, airports, hospitality, healthcare, convention centers/arenas or other institutional buildings in clean and orderly condition by performing the following duties. Responsibilities Assist Facility Manager with scheduling and administrative duties. Clean rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, rest rooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, locker rooms, and other work areas. Clean rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and draperies. Lifting chairs (20-25 lbs) and placing them over tables. Move chemicals (5 gal buckets, approx 40+ lbs) and tables (approx 40+ lbs). Operate different types of equipment (burnishers, scrubbers, pressure washer). Use ManLift or ScissorLift Machine. Wash windows, door panels, and sills. Supervision of shift responsibility, handling employee issues. Work in high, precarious places with fumes or airborne particles; noise level usually loud. Regularly stand, walk, use hands to finger/handle/sense, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, talk or hear; climb or balance; lift up to 50 lbs; vision abilities: close vision, distance vision, ability to adjust focus. Qualifications Prior experience in janitorial housekeeping preferred. Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information one-on-one and in small group situations. Math: add/subtract two-digit numbers; multiply/divide with 10's and 100's; perform operations with U.S. money, weight measurement, volume, and distance. Reasoning: apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions; handle standardized situations with occasional or no variables. Basic computer skills desired but not required. No certifications needed.
