Contract RN - Labor and Delivery
This is a 13-week contract position.
Night shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, rotating weekends; no call requirements.
We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Labor and Delivery. The position is suitable for professionals who are committed to providing high-quality care to expectant mothers and their newborns. Candidates must possess a strong skill set in fetal monitoring and emergency response.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor patients during labor, assess fetal heart rates, and respond to any complications.
- Administer medications and deliver care as per established protocols.
- Assist with surgical procedures, including C-Sections and cerclages.
- Participate in patient education and provide emotional support throughout the labor process.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure comprehensive care.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:
- Valid RN license and relevant certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, STABLE.
- Minimum of 2 years nursing experience in Labor and Delivery.
- Competency in electronic fetal monitoring (EFM) and skills in C-Section circulation.
- Preferred experience in a Level IV unit.
