Job Opportunity – Emergency Department Registered Nurse – New York

Start Date: October 1, 2026

Location: Watertown, New York

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: Night shift, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, 36 hours per week guaranteed, 13-week assignment

Highlights:

• Emergency Department environment requiring critical thinking and rapid intervention skills
• Night shift schedule with 36-hour weekly guarantee over a 13-week contract
• MEDITECH electronic medical record system in use
• Opportunity to utilize charge nurse experience and leadership skills
• Fast-paced setting requiring defibrillation certification and lethal dysrhythmia competency
• 100-mile radius requirement applies

Requirements:

• Current New York State Registered Nurse license
• Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
• MEDITECH experience required
• Previous travel nursing experience required
• Critical Care and charge nurse experience strongly preferred
• IV, medication, and phlebotomy certification required (completed during orientation)
• Must successfully complete lethal dysrhythmia exam and obtain defibrillation certification per facility requirements
• Strong interpersonal, organizational, written, and verbal communication skills
• Demonstrated ability to identify and intervene in life-threatening situations
