PEPI: Director, Supply Chain: Procurement & Sourcing (OPEN TO ALL U.S. LOCATIONS)

The Private Equity Performance Improvement Services (PEPI) practice focuses on serving middle‑market and large‑cap private equity firms to improve operating results at portfolio companies. This role leads complex supply‑chain projects for PE clients, driving value creation. How You Will Contribute Directors lead work streams delivering procurement and sourcing solutions: Gain a comprehensive understanding of a client’s procurement organization and strategic sourcing capabilities. Develop and implement sourcing strategies aligned with growth and financial objectives, integrating forecasting, demand/supply planning, inventory management, and logistics. Lead supplier identification, approval, contract and pricing negotiations, and vendor relations. Create implementation plans to drive procurement and sourcing initiatives. Analytically assess supply‑chain state, identify risks, and quantify potential EBITDA improvements. Lead teams to conduct analysis and deliver results. Professional Skills Strong written, oral, and analytical communication. Advanced Excel and PowerPoint proficiency. Structured project management and time‑team execution. Initiative, critical thinking, and creativity. Client relationship building and presentation skills. Deliver time‑pressured projects on schedule and to quality. Qualifications 10–15+ years of consulting and/or industry operating experience. Previous advisory experience at a top‑tier strategy firm or Big‑4 required. Deep industry expertise in direct materials (steel, resin, chemicals, packaging, food/beverage, automotive, etc.). Experience within sourcing and procurement functions of manufacturing companies preferred. MBA preferred. Experience working with private equity sponsors and portfolio companies, managing direct and/or indirect categories. Track record leading high‑impact strategic sourcing initiatives. Experience designing end‑to‑end procurement strategies and quantitative analysis. Willingness to travel up to 80% of the time. Benefits & Compensation Salary range: $150,000–$225,000 annually plus discretionary performance bonus.
