That’s why we’re looking for a Patent Specialist to provide comprehensive patent prosecution support to attorneys and clients throughout the U.S. patent application lifecycle.This position has flexibility to work remotely 100% of the time.The ideal candidate will be responsible for...Managing assigned dockets and collaborating with IP docketing teamReviewing, processing, and filing new applications and supplemental filesPreparing e-filings of IDSs, Supplemental ADSs (application data sheets), Declarations, Assignments, Translations of Specifications, and Preliminary Amendments Assisting with responses to various Office ActionsPreparing client correspondence and various reporting lettersManaging the billing process; collaborating with Billing DepartmentThe successful candidate will demonstrate…A minimum of three years of patent prosecution experience, including partner-level practice management supportA bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and completion of continuing education courses, including intellectual property training programsProven knowledge of federal rules, regulations, and U.S. and international Intellectual Property Law (37 C.F.R., MPEP, PCT regulations)Ability to effectively utilize IP docketing software (CPi) and USPTO online resourcesProficient knowledge and usage of document management system (iManage)Ability to independently and efficiently prioritize workflow and maintain an organized task scheduleAbility to manage high volume and efficiently prioritize competing demandsAbility to work under pressure and adapt to various practice management styles of assigned legal staffFlexibility to work overtime as neededPay Range for Candidates in Washington, DC: $90,000 - $110,000 per yearThe range provided is the minimum and maximum salary that Venable in good faith believes at the time of this posting that it is willing to pay for the advertised position.
