Senior Associate Data Scientist

Salary: $30,500 - 50,500 per year Requirements:

• We are looking for a bachelors degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics, Data Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• We require at least 3 years of experience in Audit, Data Analytics, Data Science, Risk/Controls, or a closely related role.
• We want experience handling large, complex datasets, including data wrangling, validation, enrichment, and building analytics or data science solutions.
• We seek a proven record of delivering repeatable, production-ready analytical and data science solutions such as automated workflows, dashboards, anomaly detection, or model development.
• We need a strong understanding of data environments, including databases, data warehouses/lakes, ETL/ELT patterns, and APIs/files, and how system design affects risk, controls, and auditability.
• We expect working knowledge of technology and data risks/controls, with the ability to apply that knowledge when designing solutions.
• We value excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences and build partnerships.
• We need strong critical thinking and structured problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to frame ambiguous questions, test hypotheses, and identify practical solutions under time pressure.
• We look for the ability to manage multiple concurrent tasks with strong attention to detail, effective prioritization, and consistent follow-through against deadlines.
• We require knowledge of data management principles such as data quality, lineage, metadata, governance, privacy/access considerations, and documentation practices that support reproducibility.

• We deliver end-to-end analytics and data science solutions across the audit lifecycle, from problem framing and requirements gathering through data acquisition, analysis/modeling, visualization, and deployment using tools such as SQL, Python, Alteryx, Databricks, Tableau, Agentic Studio, Smart SDK, and related platforms.
• We translate audit goals into clear analytic hypotheses and test designs, choosing appropriate methods to support risk-based audit planning and execution.
• We work closely with audit leads and stakeholders to shape and refine analytics and data science requirements while proactively managing relationships, expectations, and communications.
• We engineer repeatable, scalable analytics and data science solutions, including datasets, reusable code modules, workflows, dashboards, and templates, to improve efficiency and enable auditor self-service.
• We design solutions for non-audit-cycle activities such as continuous auditing, continuous monitoring, automated testing, advanced testing, and event- or trigger-based analytics.
• We apply strong data management and governance practices to keep analytics reliable, auditable, and reproducible.
• We implement quality controls for analytical outputs, including validation checks, reasonableness testing, peer review, and clear documentation.
• We manage multiple concurrent deliverables by planning work, prioritizing effectively, and meeting timeline and budget expectations.
• We continuously assess and adopt new tools and techniques to improve team effectiveness and recommend process enhancements.
• We communicate insights clearly to diverse audiences, tailoring messaging and visuals to drive understanding and action.
• We contribute to team knowledge sharing by sharing perspectives on analytics and data science value, and by supporting enablement through guidance, demos, and training.
