Junior K9 Handler - Denver CO

Position: Junior Handler Responsible for screening cargo per TSA rules and regulations. Requires completion of a 4–8 week team training course and certification before deployment. Pay Hourly rate: $21–$24. Virtual: $20. Moyock: $15. Responsibilities Participate in CCSP related training to search cargo and identify potential threats. Conduct authorized representative duties related to X‑ray, physical search, and trace detection as needed. Perform Junior Handler duties while commanding a trained working dog. Maintain training records. Care for and maintain assigned certified canine, ensuring appropriate living conditions in the employee’s residence. Maintain all job‑related certifications and required security clearances. Operate company vehicle during on‑site training. Work in varied conditions, including fieldwork and frequent interruptions, in all weather, with potential exposure to fumes, chemicals, and vibration. Nights, weekends, and holidays may be required; travel may also be required. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications U.S. Citizenship; at least three years of citizenship prior to application. Obtain a Known Traveler Number (KTN), Security Identification Display Area (SIDA) badge, and Security Threat Assessment (STA) for Airport Badge within 4–6 weeks of employment. Have adequate climate‑controlled transportation to move the canine and crate to and from work sites. Pass required contract testing and certifications within 4–8 weeks of employment; maintain certifications thereafter. Valid U.S. driver’s license (REAL‑ID compliant) with a satisfactory record, or a valid U.S. passport plus license. Effective oral and written communication skills. Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities. Problem‑solving skills with an analytical mindset. Adaptability to a rapidly changing environment.
