Follow all safety and process safety protocols and procedures./liliActively participate to maintain and improve safety performance./liliPromote continual improvement of safety and asset reliability through equipment, job plan, and procedure revisions./liliWork to improve maintenance processes and methods to reduce potential mistakes and defects./liliCollaborate with operations to resolve asset issues./li/ulh3Maintenance:/h3ulliWork with various systems, including plant lighting, thermostat systems, and programmable controllers to repair and install instrumentation and electrical components./liliPerform tests, calibrations, and linearity checks on equipment to ensure accurate readings and optimal performance./liliReads electrical schematics, one-line diagrams, and ladder logic for troubleshooting and system understanding./liliRead manufacturer specifications and blueprints to disassemble and reassemble complex systems./liliWork to meet schedule requirements while continuing efforts toward personal development and continuous improvement./liliSupport site profitability, regulatory compliance, and product quality through executing equipment preventive and corrective maintenance in accordance with procedures and best practices seeking maintenance excellence. Support asset improvement initiatives./liliTroubleshoot and determine causes of asset poor performance, failure, and wear./liliPropose and lead changes to improve reliability and optimize cost./liliUses calibration software and computer aided calibrators to perform instrument calibrations./liliMaintain accurate maintenance records, including labor hours, observations, and actions taken in a computerized maintenance management system. Report findings appropriately./liliParticipates in factory acceptance testing and functional testing of new installations to verify proper operation./liliAttends training sessions designed to improve skills and acquaint technician with new equipment, repair and troubleshooting techniques./li/ulh3Required Profile:/h3pLevel of Education Knowledge:/pulliAssociates degree in Instrumentation or related field/li/ulpExperience Technical Skills:/pulliCompletion of a 5-year apprenticeship program/lili3 years of experience in a related field/liliGood knowledge of the below:/liulliDigital, electronic and pneumatic instrumentation and controls and related troubleshooting techniques/liliMotors, power and control circuits and related troubleshooting techniques./liliSmart transmitters and field devices and the tools used to check them./liliSchematics, wiring diagrams, loop drawings, blueprints and PID drawings./li/ulliMust have a functional knowledge of / be familiar with:/liulliDistributed control systems or DCSs (e.g. Invensys I/A, Emerson Delta V)/liliProgrammable logic controllers or PLCs (e.g. Modicon, Rockwell)/li/ulliMust possess or obtain a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) card prior to first day of employment/liliPossess skills, knowledge, and training related to implementation of life critical processes: LOTO, system and process openings, working at heights, hot work, confined space entry, energized electrical work./li/ulpCompetencies Behavioral Skills/pulliBasic understanding of Microsoft-based programs: MS Word, MS Excel, Outlook/li/ul/div
