Now it’s your turn.Learn more about us at You Will Make an ImpactThe Inventory Control Technician is responsible for maintaining a high level of inventory accuracy and integrity within the organization. The purpose of this position is to ensure the physical inventory matches the available stock and auditing all documents pertaining to the shipping and receiving of those products.RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES: This list is illustrative only and is not intended to be a comprehensive list of tasks performed by this classification. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of the job.Verify inventory computations by comparing them to physical counts of stockEnsure accuracy of forms and paperwork producedExamine and inspect inventory items for wear or defectsResolve inventory problems in a timely manner; Escalate issues to managementResearch inventory discrepancies or exceptions and make necessary correctionsMaintain inventory accuracy metrics and associated reports for managementPerform cycle counts to ensure accurate inventoryTrack and report non-conforming productProvide back-up support to other Distribution Center personnel, as neededFollow safety and security procedures at all times while on organization premisesStore items in an orderly and accessible manner in warehouse, tool or supply rooms, other areasData input in spreadsheets and software applicationsMaintain a professional relationship with all resource centersAdhere to attendance policiesPerform warehouse related work, as neededAdministrative duties, responsibilities, and activities may be assigned or changed from time to timeSPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS, ETC:Good record keeping techniquesExcellent planning and organizational skills; Detail oriented individual that is systemic in their approach to all assigned tasksGood oral and written communication proficiencyAbility to work independently with minimal directionAble to meet schedules and timelinesAbility to read and understand information and ideas presented in writingAbility to arrange things or actions in a certain order or pattern according to a specific rule or set of rules (e.g., patterns of numbers, letters, words, pictures, mathematical operations)Ability to identify information by categorizing, estimating, recognizing differences or similarities, and detecting changes in circumstances or eventsAbility to interface with various departments and personnelMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:High School Diploma or General Education DiplomaOne year of related business dutiesWarehouse/Distribution Center experience a plusMust be able to pass the forklift certification test and drive a forkliftProficient with MS Office applications (Email, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)High attention to detail and work accuracyTRAVEL: Ability to travel in performance of job duties is requiredPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:Ability to process a large volume of paperwork and dataRequired use of safety and protective gearAdhere to safety and lifting proceduresMental Demands: high workflow management, high project coordinationHand Dexterity: use hands to handle, control, or feel objects, tools or controls, typingTalking: especially where one must convey detailed or important instructions or ideas accurately, loudly, or quicklyAverage Hearing: able to hear average or normal conversations and receive ordinary informationAverage Visual Abilities: ordinary acuity necessary to prepare or inspect documents or operate machineryPhysical Strength: Exert up to 30 lbs. of force regularly.
