Human Resources Generalist

The Human Resources Generalist is responsible for supporting and executing a wide range of HR functions across the employee lifecycle. This role partners with leadership and employees to ensure effective HR operations, compliance with employment laws, and a positive workplace culture. This is a Contract to Hire opportunity located near Schaumburg, IL. Key Responsibilities

• Manages full-cycle recruiting, including job postings, candidate screening, interview coordination, and offer preparation.

• Coordinates onboarding and new hire orientation to ensure a smooth and compliant start for all employees.

• Serves as a point of contact for employee questions regarding policies, procedures, and HR programs.

• Maintains accurate employee records and HRIS data in compliance with company policies and employment regulations.

• Administers HR programs including benefits, compensation, leave management, and performance management.

• Supports employee relations by addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and assisting with investigations and disciplinary actions.

• Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and company policies.

• Assists with training programs, employee engagement initiatives, and organizational development efforts.

• Generates HR reports and provides data insights to support business decisions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.

• 2–5+ years of Human Resources experience with exposure to multiple functional areas.

• Strong knowledge of employment laws, HR best practices, and compliance requirements.

• Experience with HRIS systems such as ADP, Workday, or similar platforms.

• Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Job Details:

• Contract to Hire

• 100% onsite

• Pay $24- $29 an hour, depending on experience
