Schedule: OR-focused position with call coverage; typical day includes hospital rounding followed by OR time. Night and weekend call required (7am–7am shifts). Average patient volume: 10 outpatient, 5–8 inpatient.

Highlights:

• Work alongside attending Cardiothoracic Surgeons in the operating room as first assist
• Vein and artery harvesting using the Maquet system
• Comprehensive patient care including rounding, pre-op exams, suture/staple removal, and wound care
• EPIC EMR documentation system
• OR-only call; call back if needed
• Multidisciplinary collaboration with surgeons, nursing, respiratory, and cardiac rehab teams

Requirements:

• Active Indiana state license required at time of submission
• NCCPA certification (PA) or AANP certification (NP) required
• Demonstrated experience in Maquet vein harvesting required
• Experience in cardiothoracic surgery strongly preferred; new graduates will not be considered
• First assist skills required
• Proof of COVID-19 vaccination required
• Current NPDB self-query report (pulled within 30 days) required at presentation
• Local candidates within driving distance highly preferred
