Kizer Energy is seeking an experienced Completions Coordinator to support its client on a project (PowerCo and DataCo scopes) in Texas.This leadership role is responsible for planning, coordinating, and driving all systems completion, startup, and commissioning activities across the project, ensuring the successful transition of systems, subsystems, and assets from construction through operational handover. The Completions Coordinator will lead and coordinate the Mechanical, Electrical MV/HV, Instrumentation & Controls (I&C), and Automation/DCS CSU discipline leads, ensuring consistent execution of the Client Completions Methodology and alignment across all project disciplines. The role is accountable for advancing systems through Mechanical Completion (MC), Pre-Functional Testing (PFT), Commissioning, Ready for Startup (RFSU), Substantial Completion (SC), and Facility Custody Transfer to Operations (FO) while maintaining compliance with project specifications, OEM requirements, safety standards, and schedule objectives. Key Responsibilities and Duties Lead, mentor, and coordinate a team of CSU Discipline Leads across Mechanical, Electrical MV/HV, Instrumentation & Controls (I&C), and Automation/DCS disciplines. Ensure consistent application of the Client's Completions Methodology across all systems, subsystems, and project areas. Facilitate daily and weekly coordination meetings involving CSU leads, construction, commissioning, operations, and client teams. Resolve cross-functional interface issues, resource conflicts, and system readiness challenges affecting project progress. Drive and manage the completions process from Mechanical Completion (MC) through Pre-Functional Testing (PFT), Commissioning, Ready for Startup (RFSU), Substantial Completion (SC), and Facility Custody Transfer to Operations (FO) . Maintain and coordinate the completions schedule, ensuring alignment with the overall project execution and commissioning schedule. Lead system readiness reviews and milestone assessments to confirm compliance with turnover and commissioning requirements. Validate turnover packages and completion documentation to ensure accuracy, completeness, and alignment with system boundaries. Oversee punch list management, including walkdowns, categorization, assignment, prioritization, tracking, and closure of outstanding items. Coordinate joint walk-downs with construction, commissioning, operations, and client representatives to verify system readiness and compliance with quality standards. Monitor punch list aging and Align commissioning activities across mechanical, electrical, I&C, and automation disciplines to support efficient system turnover and startup. Coordinate with engineering and construction teams to address technical issues, design clarifications, and RFIs impacting completion activities. Track and report system-by-system progress against key milestones, including MC, PFT, Commissioning, RFSU, SC, and FO readiness. Develop and maintain project completion metrics, dashboards, and status reports for project leadership and client stakeholders. Identify schedule risks, critical path impacts, and resource constraints, implementing mitigation and recovery plans to maintain project objectives. Serve as the central coordination point for all completions and commissioning activities, ensuring the safe, timely, and successful transition of systems into operational custody. Job Requirements Qualifications and Experience Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related technical field preferred. Equivalent combination of technical training and relevant industry experience will be considered. 8-10+ years of experience in commissioning, startup, or systems completions on mission-critical, industrial, power generation, energy, or large infrastructure projects. Proven experience managing multidisciplinary completions and commissioning teams. Experience coordinating mechanical, MV/HV electrical, instrumentation & controls (I&C), and automation systems throughout turnover and operational readiness phases. Demonstrated success leading systems through Mechanical Completion (MC), Pre-Functional Testing (PFT), Commissioning, Ready for Startup (RFSU), Substantial Completion (SC), and Facility Operations (FO) milestones. Certifications and Training OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification required. Commissioning, startup, systems completions, or related industry certifications are advantageous. Ability to meet all site access requirements for the Hubbard Apex Data Center. Additional client-specific HSE onboarding and safety training may be required. Technical Skills Strong understanding of systems completion and commissioning methodologies, including MC PFT Commissioning, RFSU, SC, and FO workflows. Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, single-line diagrams, electrical schematics, systemization matrices, and turnover documentation. Familiarity with completions management systems and commissioning software platforms. Strong documentation, reporting, progress tracking, and turnover package management capabilities. Knowledge of Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), energization controls, and operational readiness procedures. Core Competencies Strong leadership, team management, and cross-functional coordination skills. Effective communicator with the ability to align multiple disciplines and resolve project interface issues. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to manage large volumes of completions data and multiple project priorities. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and risk management capabilities. Ability to perform effectively in fast-paced, high-pressure commissioning and startup environments. Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) Commitment to maintaining the highest standards of safety and operational compliance. Ability to define, communicate, and enforce LOTO and energization control procedures. Strong understanding of commissioning-related safety requirements and industry best practices. Must comply with all project-specific safety, security, and site access requirements. Terms and Conditions Project Duration: Long-term assignment anticipated to last 2+ years , with project activities extending through approximately 2029 .
