Job Description:
We are seeking experienced Registered Nurses for high-acuity Emergency Room assignments. The ideal candidates will have a strong background in managing stroke, cardiovascular, diabetes, wounds, behavioral health, and sepsis cases, with some trauma experience. This position requires the ability to provide independent, complex care in a fast-paced environment, ensuring patient safety and quality outcomes.


Shift: Nights, 7PM - 7AM
Start Date: ASAP
Hourly Pay Rate: $53.60


Licenses, Registrations, or Certifications Required:

• BLS certification from AHA (required)
• ACLS certification from AHA (required)
• PALS certification from AHA (required)
• TNCC (required)
• RN License in the state of employment or compact license

Schedule & Requirements:

• Every other weekend
• No on-call requirement
• No floating to other units
• Nurse / Patient Ratio: 4:1
• Temp-to-perm opportunity available

Summary:
The selected RN will practice independently within the scope of their license, providing routine and complex patient care while demonstrating ongoing professional development. The role requires assessing patient needs, administering treatments, educating patients and families, and managing contingencies in a high-pressure environment.


Responsibilities:

• Deliver nursing care per ANA standards using the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, evaluation)
• Address psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families
• Administer medications and treatments as per protocol, monitor for side effects, and evaluate effectiveness
• Document patient information accurately
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers regarding health and treatment plans

Position Requirements:

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing preferred
• 1 year of experience in a similar clinical setting preferred
• Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications
• Valid RN license in the state of employment or compact licensure
• Successful completion of new nurse orientation and competency validation within 30 days of hire

Work Schedule: 7PM - 7AM, full-time
