Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our telemetry unit on night shifts. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cardiac and telemetry patient care, demonstrating independence, clinical competence, and excellent communication skills. You will provide routine and complex nursing care, assess patient needs, administer treatments, and educate patients and their families. This position offers the opportunity for growth, with potential temp-to-perm options.


Shift: Nights (7 PM - 7 AM)
Start Date: 05/18/2026
Hourly Pay Rate: $58.96


Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive nursing care utilizing the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, evaluation) for telemetry patients.
• Administer medications and treatments following protocols; monitor for side effects.
• Document patient care accurately and thoroughly.
• Assess and address the psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families.
• Educate patients and caregivers regarding their health conditions and treatments.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Make appropriate assignments and delegate tasks to care providers as needed.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a related nursing specialty preferred.
• Valid RN License in the state of employment or a compact license.
• BLS certification from AHA required.
• ACLS certification from AHA required.

Position Requirements:

• All newly hired experienced RNs must attend New Nurses Orientation within the first 30 days of hire.
• Participation in residency or orientation programs may be required.
• Completion of annual competency requirements.
• Experience in cardiac and telemetry nursing is preferred.

Work Schedule: 7 PM - 7 AM
Type of Patients: Cardiac and Telemetry (not Stepdown unit)
Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
On Call: None
Nurse/Patient Ratio: 5:1 to 6:1 depending on staffing
