Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Product Owner

Overview Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Product Owner at the City of Tucson Information Technology Department (ITD). The role owns the vision, capability roadmap, and ongoing evolution of the City’s Workday ERP platform, bridging business stakeholders and technical teams to deliver business value and a consistent user experience. Responsibilities Lead strategy, vision, and business capability and technical roadmaps for the ERP system, managing the full product lifecycle from planning through sustainment. Establish governance and standard practices for all development and configuration changes to ensure alignment, prioritization, and consistent user experience. Supervise, coach, and develop team members to deliver solution designs and realize intended value. Collaborate with city stakeholders to gather requirements, translate business needs into Workday solutions, and define measurable outcomes. Partner with architecture and technical teams to ensure scalable, sustainable, and standards‑aligned design. Work with subject matter experts to validate solutions meet business and operational needs. Direct and prioritize the work of cross‑functional teams and external vendors to achieve roadmap goals. Oversee execution of the product roadmap and delivery of features that support business objectives. Train and assist peers in maturing practice and personal growth. Perform all other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education. Five (5) years of relevant experience. Valid and unrestricted driver’s license with at least two (2) years of licensed driving. Preferred Qualifications Experience leading the strategy, vision, and roadmap for enterprise platforms, preferably Workday. Strong background in stakeholder engagement and translating complex business requirements into system solutions. Experience collaborating with enterprise architecture and technical teams for scalable design. Track record of successfully delivering product roadmaps and enhancements that meet strategic business objectives. Experience in governance for federated development teams, ensuring standard, predictable changes and effective user adoption.
