Senior Electrical Project Engineer (Water/Wastewater)

We are seeking a Senior Electrical Project Engineer to lead the design and delivery of electrical systems for municipal water and wastewater infrastructure projects. This is a high-impact role for an experienced engineer who enjoys owning projects from concept through completion and wants to play a key role in a growing engineering team.

What You'll Do

• Lead electrical design efforts for water and wastewater treatment, pumping, and utility projects
• Develop construction drawings, specifications, and technical documentation
• Perform power system studies, including Arc Flash, coordination, and master planning studies
• Design and support:
• • Power distribution systems
  • Motor Control Centers (MCCs)
  • Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs)
  • Conduit layouts and raceway systems
  • Process and electrical diagrams
• Coordinate with utility providers and regulatory agencies
• Support project planning, budgeting, scheduling, and client communication
• Participate in field visits and site assessments
• Mentor junior engineers and designers, with future leadership opportunities available

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required (Florida PE or ability to obtain through reciprocity preferred)
• 10-15+ years of electrical engineering experience
• Experience supporting water/wastewater, industrial, utility, or infrastructure projects
• Strong knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC)
• Hands-on experience performing electrical studies, including Arc Flash analysis
• Proficiency with AutoCAD required
• Revit experience preferred
• Experience partnering with electrical utilities and coordinating service requirements

Preferred Experience

• eTap, SKM, or similar power system analysis software
• Medium and low-voltage power distribution systems
• Municipal infrastructure projects
• Technical leadership or mentorship of junior engineering staff
