Senior Office Administrator / Chief of Staff (Legal) This is a high-visibility leadership role where you will serve as the primary operational partner to office leadership, overseeing people, operations, and day-to-day business functions. The position is ideal for a mid-career, high-potential professional looking to step into a strategic leadership role with long-term growth potential. Position Overview This role serves as the senior-most administrative leader in the office, responsible for ensuring seamless operations, supporting attorneys and partners, and driving a high-performance, service-oriented environment. You will function as a trusted partner-facing operator, balancing strategic oversight with hands-on execution across office operations, staffing, events, and firm initiatives. Key Responsibilities Office Leadership & Operations Lead day-to-day operations of the office, ensuring efficiency and professionalism Serve as the primary point of contact for all office-related matters Oversee facilities, vendors, and office logistics Manage office initiatives, projects, and ongoing operational improvements Directly manage administrative staff and legal support teams Oversee scheduling, time approvals, workflow allocation, and performance management Coach and develop team members while maintaining accountability and strong service delivery Act as a trusted resource for employee relations and workplace concerns Executive & Partner Support Partner closely with attorneys and senior leadership to anticipate needs and resolve issues proactively Provide high-touch, responsive support to partners and ensure excellent service delivery Build credibility with stakeholders through confidence, responsiveness, and sound judgment Events & Office Engagement Oversee planning and execution of firm events, including recruiting and client-facing functions Manage logistics, vendors, timelines, and execution from concept through delivery Support employee engagement and culture-building initiatives Strategic & Project Work Support cross-functional initiatives and office growth efforts Assist with change management and office transitions Contribute to broader operational improvements and best practices What We’re Looking For Required 7–10+ years of experience in office operations, administrative leadership, or similar role within a law firm Proven experience managing administrative or legal support teams Strong operational leadership skills with a hands-on approach Ability to confidently engage with attorneys, partners, and senior stakeholders Excellent communication skills and professional presence Ideal Profile Mid-career professional with strong upward trajectory and growth potential Confident, polished, and comfortable interacting directly with senior partners Strong balance of operational execution and strategic thinking Ability to influence, problem-solve, and manage up effectively High emotional intelligence and strong judgment Equal Opportunity Employer/Veterans/Disabled To read our Candidate Privacy Information Statement, which explains how we will use your information, please navigate to The Company will consider qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records in accordance with federal, state, and local laws and/or security clearance requirements, including, as applicable: The California Fair Chance Act Los Angeles City Fair Chance Ordinance Los Angeles County Fair Chance Ordinance for Employers #J-18808-Ljbffr LHH
