Software Engineer (Big Data)

Job Title : Software Engineer (Big Data)
Location : Littleton/Waterton, CO 80125 (Hybrid)
Contract : 12 Months Contract on W2
Citizenship Requirement: US Citizenship
Pay : $85.00/hr. on W2
Shift: 4/10-1st Shift

RESPONSIBILITIES:
The selected candidate will develop software engineering solutions for Orion's Ground Support Tools software team. The individual must demonstrate the ability to apply logical thinking and creative problem-solving to develop, enhance, or troubleshoot software.

Required Skills:
• Extensive experience with Big Data
• Experience with Apache Hadoop or AWS
• Experience with relational databases
• Expertise in Java full-stack development
• Knowledge of Telemetry systems and processing
• Experience with systems integration
• Experience with anomaly investigation and resolution
• Willingness for off-hours support to ensure lab productivity
• Ability to contribute within a team-oriented environment to achieve long-range goals and objectives
• Solid written or verbal communication skills

Desired Skills:
• Knowledgeable in Python
• Experience with Agile and DevOps processes
• Ability to assist users and lab managers with data analysis

Typical Minimums:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education.
