Join us and be part of something extraordinary.We’re seeking a future team member for the role of Senior Vice President, Project Lead to join our Credit Services and Credit Risk Management Audit team. This role is located in New York, NY.In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways: Lead risk-based audits aligned to Internal Audit policies, methodologies, and standards to identify significant issues, risks, and control gaps.Serve as SME for credit-risk audits and regulatory issue validations; perform risk assessment, scoping, execution, and reporting. Coverage includes lending, counterparty credit risk, intraday credit risk generated by BNY’s global businesses.Assess the control environment against regulatory requirements and leading practices; propose and drive practical remediation strategies.Partner with Audit Leadership to align audit plans with both existing and emerging risks within the business strategy.Coordinate with stakeholders to deliver audit engagements; communicate progress, findings, and remediation status through closure.Recommend enhancements to processes, controls, and risk management, including root-cause analysis and sustainable corrective actions.Identify opportunities to automate testing and reporting; propose data analytic or AI based solutions to increase audit testing efficiency and coverage.No direct reports; demonstrate leadership through leading audit projects, coaching, and knowledge sharing with peers and clients.To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following: Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, economics, or a related discipline such as Computer Science, Mathematics.At least 7 years of relevant experience, including audit or credit-risk/credit-services domains.Advanced credentials preferred (e.g. FRM, CFA).Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret quantitative outputs and translate insights into audit conclusions and recommendations.Demonstrated critical thinking, problem solving, stakeholder management, and written/verbal communication skills.Familiar with regulatory requirements including Supervision and Regulation Letters (e.g. SR 11-10)Experience drafting high-quality audit issues (issue articulation, impact, root cause, action plans) and driving remediation to closure.Strong interest on adapting new digital tool/AI in in all phases of audit work creating capacity for deeper coverage and continuous monitoring.Embrace in‑office collaboration four days per week to strengthen teamwork, accelerate decision‑making, and enhance stakeholder engagement through regular in‑person planning, reviews, and mentorship. The base salary for this position is expected to be between $102,000 and $203,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base salary if hired will be determined on an individualized basis, including as to experience and market location, and is only part of the BNY total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, discretionary bonuses, short and long-term incentive packages, and Company-sponsored benefit programs.
