Job Description

As a Security Officer Customer Service Patrol Driver in San Leandro, CA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer at a busy retail location, where you will conduct routine driving and foot patrols, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. In this role, you will support a welcoming environment while working with a team that values being agile, reliable, innovative, and always acting with integrity.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report relevant details according to site guidelines.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location, including sales floor areas, entrances, exits, parking areas, and perimeter locations.
• Monitor for unusual activity, policy violations, and/or potential hazards, and help to deter unauthorized behavior through visible presence and professional interaction.
• Support access control, crowd management, and/or de-escalation efforts as needed while maintaining detailed activity and incident documentation.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A guard card and/or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
