About the Position: This position is with the National Guard Bureau, Joint Staff, Office of Legislative Liaison, Arlington, VA. About the Surrounding Area: Situated in Northern Virginia on the south bank of the Potomac River directly across from Washington D.C. Arlington is headquarters to many departments and agencies of the federal government, including the Department of Defense and is the location of many national memorials and museums. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes Managing and coordinating legislative analysis and strategy for an organization to include management of legislative analysts; developing organizational and Legislative Strategy on Congressional Objectives to facilitate successful engagements between Senior Leaders and Members of Congress; coordinating the submission and analysis of legislative proposals to the Administration; monitoring congressional activities to determine potential impacts to the organization; advising senior leaders on all congressional matters.
