Job Description We are seeking an ambitious and forward-thinking individual, recently graduated, with a bachelor’s degree in engineering, political science, public policy, international affairs, economics, business administration, or similar, to join our dynamic Government Affairs team through our Corporate Development Program. Working closely with the VP U.S Government Affairs and the Market Development Department, the ideal candidate is a proactive learner with a passion for innovation and a knack for problem-solving. Key Responsibilities Support the VP of U.S Government Affairs to coordinate the activities of the U.S Government Affairs Team. Assist with U.S government affairs and market development project and task planning, implementation and administration. Liaise and coordinate with external stakeholders and prepare internal and external briefings. Review internal and external analyses and extract and share relevant data. Work with the Market Development Department teams in marketing, regulation and government and external affairs to ensure alignment of effort and consistency in narrative. Prepare briefings for the Executive and Operations Committees. Understand current workflows and make suggestions for productivity improvements. Assist with CORE POWER events, as required. Other ad hoc duties as required by your line manager. Skills & Qualifications Education A bachelor’s degree in engineering, political science, public policy, international affairs, economics, business administration, or similar. Work Experience This role is one of the roles designated by the company to be developed through the Corporate Development Programme. The candidate should preferably have had some work experience in a corporate function dealing with Government Affairs. Technical Skills Strong analytical and critical thinking skills. Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities. Strong organisational and time management skills. Excellent collaboration and team interaction skills. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills. Highly proficient with Microsoft Office and a willingness to learn new platforms, such as Monday.com. Basic marine technical working knowledge (ideal). Communication Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Attention to Detail Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy. Organizational Skills Strong organizational and time-management abilities. Behavior Thrives in a creative environment but possesses the pragmatism and awareness to maintain progress.
