Lead Software Engineer iOS

Salary: $61,000 - 101,000 per year Requirements:

• We have formal training or certification in software engineering, along with 5+ years of practical experience.
• We bring experience in system design, application development, testing, and maintaining operational stability.
• We have hands-on experience using enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools in the workplace for coding, test creation, troubleshooting, or documentation, and we can critically review, validate, and refine AI-generated output for correctness, performance, and security.
• We understand responsible AI use in engineering workflows, including data sensitivity, secure handling of inputs and outputs, and resiliency and security expectations, and we can guide peers on safe and effective use.
• We are proficient in at least one programming language relevant to mobile development.
• We have strong knowledge of mobile development frameworks, including iOS, Swift, Objective-C, UIKit, Cocoa, and SwiftUI.
• We are familiar with iOS design patterns such as MVVM, MVC, MVP, VIPER, and MVI.
• We have experience integrating native features such as Camera, Push Notifications, GPS, CoreML, and VisionKit.
• We understand mobile application security, including device registration, biometrics, encryption, and data protection.
• We have experience with API integration and development tools such as Xcode.
• We are proficient with Git, source code management, and Agile software development methodologies.
• Preferred: we have experience working with copilot or similar tools.
• Preferred: we are familiar with build automation tools and frameworks for static and dynamic analysis.
• Preferred: we can assess technology risks, perform threat modeling, and communicate risk to stakeholders.
• Preferred: we have experience building relationships with cross-functional teams, including technology, business, audit, and risk partners.
• Preferred: we know OAuth, SSO, and NFC technologies.
• Preferred: we have experience building and releasing apps to the App Store or enterprise stores using CI/CD pipelines.

• We develop secure, high-quality production code and review and debug code written by others.
• We make decisions that affect product design, application functionality, and technical operations.
• We advise peers and project stakeholders on adopting new technologies.
• We use enterprise-authorized AI coding assist tools to improve code quality, delivery speed, and productivity across complex deliverables, while validating outputs through peer review, automated testing, and secure coding standards.
• We apply knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle toolchain tools, including enterprise-authorized AI-assisted development and automation capabilities, to increase the value delivered by automation.
• We develop iOS mobile applications using Swift, SwiftUI, and Objective-C.
• We develop Android mobile applications using Java and Kotlin.
• We work on large-scale mobile applications, implementing complex front-end solutions and automated testing.
• We collaborate with UX designers to prototype and deliver new features that improve user experience.
• We optimize mobile applications for speed, reliability, and scalability, and we follow Agile practices such as Scrum and Continuous Delivery.
• We support Site Reliability Engineering practices to help ensure an excellent user experience and strong system performance.
