The company is seeking a compliance-focused and dedicated Wastewater Treatment Operator who is committed to operational excellence in a high-priority treatment environment. This position is responsible for operating and maintaining the wastewater treatment system to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and the company's state-issued permit. In addition to wastewater operations, this individual will be responsible for collecting line samples and performing titrations in the lab. This is a career-oriented position with the opportunity to develop into a fully integrated management-level role as skills and leadership abilities are developed. The successful candidate will be on a path to manage a complete wastewater treatment program, including permitting, operations, inspections, and other program responsibilities once the necessary skills have been demonstrated.High-Level ResponsibilitiesCheck various operational parameters throughout the plantCollect samples at various plant locationsFollow all safety practices and safe job proceduresRead and record operational dataMonitor gauges and plant equipmentPerform basic laboratory sampling and titrationsMaintain operator logs and data sheetsPerform assigned maintenance tasks inside the wastewater roomExperience and Requirements1-2 years of wastewater operating experience requiredIndiana Wastewater Class B Operator Certification preferredCandidates with a Class A certification and strong relevant experience may also be consideredCandidates hired without a Class B license must obtain and successfully test into the Class B Wastewater Operator License within twelve (12) months of hire or within a reasonable timeframe determined by the companyMust be proficient in the use of computers and peripherals, including Microsoft Office productsMust be a strong communicator and self-starterMust be able to demonstrate strong organizational skillsMust be able to conduct inspections and communicate with state agenciesExperience leading and organizing meetings is preferred
