Travel Surgical Technologist – CVOR (Cardiovascular Operating Room)

Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Surgical Technologist with strong Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) experience to join a fast-paced acute care facility. The ideal candidate will be confident in supporting a variety of cardiovascular surgical procedures and thrive in a high-volume operating room environment.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and maintain sterile fields for cardiovascular surgical procedures.
• Assist surgeons during CABG, valve replacement, and other cardiac surgeries.
• Ensure proper handling, sterilization, and organization of surgical instruments and supplies.
• Anticipate surgeon needs and provide intraoperative support.
• Adhere to infection control and patient safety standards.
• Collaborate effectively with surgeons, nurses, anesthesia providers, and other healthcare professionals.
• Maintain accurate documentation using the facility's electronic medical record system.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of recent CVOR Surgical Technologist experience.
• Current Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification through NBSTSA.
• Current BLS certification (AHA required).
• Current ACLS certification preferred/required per facility guidelines.
• Experience assisting with cardiovascular surgeries, including CABG and valve procedures.
• Ability to read and interpret EKG strips.
• Strong knowledge of sterile technique and surgical instrumentation.
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply.
