Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a GI/Endoscopy position at a short-term acute care teaching hospital in Oregon, requiring endoscopy circulator experience and Epic proficiency.

Details

• Short-term acute care teaching hospital with 59 total staff beds
• Endoscopy unit with potential floating to other units and facilities across Oregon (Milwaukie, Newberg, Portland, Hood River, Willamette Falls, Seaside, and Saint Vincent)
• Patient ratios of 1:3 on the floor and 1:1 in the procedural room
• Day shift schedule, 4x10-hour shifts (7:00–17:00)
• On-call required: 1 night per week and 1 weekend per 4-week schedule period
• Weekend requirement tied to on-call rotation (1 per 4-week schedule)
• Block schedules are not required
• Charting performed in Epic

Requirements

• Active OR RN license required
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of endoscopy RN experience required
• Endoscopy circulator experience required
• Pre/post-op experience required
• Experience in a teaching hospital setting required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Must have a personal vehicle for this assignment
• At least 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty/setting
• SSN and DOB required for consideration
• Active professional license at time of consideration

Additional Information

• Scrubs in any color are acceptable for this unit
• No parking fee at the facility
• Travelers may be floated to other units and facilities based on skill set; refusal to float may result in assignment termination
• When floating to Seaside from a non-Seaside facility, travelers receive an additional hourly incentive plus IRS mileage reimbursement; hotel accommodations are provided for consecutive floating shifts
• Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must not reside within 50 miles of the submitting facility
• RTO should be minimal; any scheduling requests must be disclosed at the time of submission, as post-offer requests may be denied
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
