Member Service Representative III

Member Service Representative III South Alabama Electric Cooperative is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Member Service Representative III. This position is responsible for answering and directing telephone calls, directing members and guests to the proper departments, helping members with billing inquires, and explaining billing and policies to members. Additional duties include receiving and posting member payments, maintaining an accurate balance in the cash drawer, filing monthly collection reports, handling returned checks and other banking duties, preparing service orders, assisting during power outages, and performing any other duties as directed. Applicants must have excellent interpersonal and organizational skills. Applicants should have experience in money management, switchboard operations, records and file management systems, and computer operating systems and software including Word and Excel. Applicants must possess a valid driver's license, one to three years as a cashier/receptionist, and a high school diploma or its equivalent (associate degree preferred).
