COMPANY BACKGROUND

Airport Synergy Group LLC (ASG) is a Joint Venture between Avports LLC, Jacobsen|Daniels Associates LLC, and Consolidated Management Professionals. ASG brings 120+ years of collective experience in world-class commercial aviation operations. After previous cooperation and successful collaboration among its partners in the past, ASG was recently awarded the management contract to provide Property and Equipment Management Services at the Los Angeles International Airport (LAX), on behalf of the Tom Bradley International Terminal Equipment Co. (TBITEC).

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Reporting directly to the Director of Terminal Operations, the Terminal Managers will supplement and assist the Director of Terminal Operations with the day-to-day supervision of Duty Managers and vendors in each terminal to ensure full compliance with TBITEC guidelines, LAWA and DHS regulations, and all applicable Service Level Agreements (“SLAs”). The primary role of the Terminal Managers will be to strategically coordinate airline equipment maintenance, service, and passenger assistance operations, develop effective operating plans, and drive the TBITEC training and continuous improvement programs for their assigned Terminal(s). Subject to approval by the Executive Director, there will be 1 Terminal Manager assigned to each of the following:

• Tom Bradley International Terminal
• Terminal 5
• Terminals 1.5 and TBIT-W
• ARCC and Organizational Project Management

The Terminal Managers will work closely with the Director of Terminal Operations, the Executive Director, LAWA, DHS, CBP, and the TBITEC Stakeholder group to foster effective working relationships and will directly oversee the documentation and resolution of all equipment and service issues on a timely basis. Working with and through the TBITEC Duty Managers, the Terminal Managers will be responsible for and will guide all aspects of the TBITEC equipment operations including:

• oversee the TBITEC equipment and facilities, developing standard operating procedures (“SOPs”), contingency plans, training agendas, and schedules for TBITEC and vendor personnel.
• schedule vendor services and oversee vendor performance and KPIs.
• oversee the development and implementation of a Preventive Maintenance System, training program, inventory control system, and quality assurance program.
• schedule and oversee corrective and predictive maintenance as well as other projects, as assigned, to minimize impact and hazards to the airlines and travelers.
• oversee the consortium’s Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS), including inventory lists and stock levels, developing effective reporting to support business decisions, and regular backup of database files to mitigate the possibility of data loss.
• assist the Finance & Administration Manager in maintaining a TBITEC asset list, developing accurate budgets, and auditing vendor invoices, as necessary.
• develop, implement, and manage an effective document management program to facilitate the storage and rapid retrieval of documents, such as maintenance reports, inventory reports, equipment and project status reports, and incident/accident reports; develop and oversee a document archive program.
• represent the consortium as necessary.
• The Terminal Manager may be required to perform additional duties as assigned.

The Terminal Managers will be available on a 24-hour/365-day basis and at all times act in the best interest of 1.) safety & security of the airport and its occupants, 2.) TBITEC, 3.) the Airlines serving Los Angeles International Airport, and 4.) the traveling public and will observe and obey all ethical and legal obligations entrusted in the position.

Requirements

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE / QUALIFICATIONS

• At least four years’ experience as the Operations Director, Maintenance Manager, Station Manager or Assistant Manager of a FAA Part 139 Certified Airport, Airport System, Airport Terminal, or Airline Station, including a commercial passenger terminal with more than 3M enplanements per year.
• Demonstrated ability to handle all aspects of Terminal Management including Operations, Maintenance, Environment, Finance, Public Relations, and Human Resources Management.
• Proven ability to interface with Government officials, including DHS, USDA, CBP, TSA, DOT, FAA, DEC, DEP, OSHA, EPA, CDC, etc.
• Demonstrated ability to facilitate effective communications in a multi-stakeholder environment (e.g., Airport, Airlines, stakeholders, and tenants.)
• Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, proportions, and percentages.
• Ability to read and evaluate budgets, financial statements, and P&L reports.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret industry periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, and governmental regulations.
• Ability to solve problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardizations exist.
• Ability to review/write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of executives, employees, clients, customers, and the general public.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Demonstrated proficiency with MS office tools
• Prior experience supervising an equipment and/or facilities maintenance operation is a plus
• Local demonstrated experience at LAX will be considered a plus.

COMPENSATION

Salary Range $110,000 - $120,000

EDUCATION, CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

• Four-year degree in Airport, Aviation, Aerospace, or Business Administration, Public Relations or related field is desired.
• Strong aviation experience required.
• Must possess a valid Drivers’ License and clean driving record as a condition of employment.
• Must be eligible to obtain all Airport staff access and security clearances from the Respective Authorities.
• IAP or AAE designation will be considered a plus.
