For more information, visit of Role:**GlobalFoundries is seeking an energetic and highly motivated engineer for a position as a Yield Engineer in our state-of-the-art 300mm wafer fab in Malta, NY. The candidate will drive yield improvement and product performance on advanced technology nodes on GlobalFoundries’ strategic roadmap.**Essential Responsibilities Include:*** Drive yield and product performance for technology nodes at 45nm and below, with the focus of this position supporting our high-volume production.* Investigate root cause of yield and product functionality issues.* Use data analysis, failure analysis, product and design information, device knowledge, and technology understanding to identify improvement opportunities.* Engage with our customers on weekly calls giving clear updates on current yield status and forecasts.* Work closely with Test, Integration and Process Modules to implement fast and cost-effective improvements.* Support customer engineering to fully meet external customer requirements.* Support process module engineering activities to improve cost, cycle time, and manufacturing robustness.**Other Responsibilities:*** Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs.* Any duties as assigned by manager / supervisor**Required Qualifications:*** Education - Bachelor’s Degree in Circuit Design, Electrical Engineering or related technical field.* Experience - Minimum of 2-3 years’ experience in the semiconductor industry or related field.* Fluency in English language - both written and verbal* Excellent data analysis and problem solving skills* Excellent verbal and written communication skills* Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a multicultural team environment* Working knowledge in the design, execution, and analysis of experiments.* Knowledge of circuit design and test, solid state device physics, submicron FET architectures, and the implications of electrical characteristics and performance on yield and product behavior* Affinity for quick learning **Preferred Qualifications:*** M.S. or Ph.D. preferred* Working knowledge of semiconductor processing and process integration* Prior experience in Yield Engineering supporting high volume production**Expected Salary Range**$69,000.00 - $120,000.00The exact Salary will be determined based on qualifications, experience and location.If you need a reasonable accommodation for any part of the employment process, please contact us by email at View email address on click.appcast.io and let us know the nature of your request and your contact information.
