Mechanical Inspector - 2nd Shift

We provide customers leading edge support from prototype to production.This position is for swing shift – Monday thru Friday, 2:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. with potential for overtime.Summary Of PositionResponsible performing precision mechanical inspection of machined parts and incoming materials to verify compliance to specification.Basic blueprint reading & shop math (Trigonometry)Inspect first off parts from manufacturing work centersCollect measurement data for use in First Article Inspection (FAI) reportsCollect and provide data required for critical part Final Inspection Reports (FIRs)Qualifications:Minimum of 5years' experience performing in-process and final inspection preferably in a machining, automotive or aerospace businessThorough knowledge of GD&TCMM operation requiredAbility to correctly use and interpret basic measuring tools including weight gauge, micrometer, caliper scale (linear), gauge blocks, thread gauges, and comparative standardsCulture:At FM Industries our success is powered by people and technology.
