Bilingual Office Assistant (English/Spanish)The City of College Park is seeking an enthusiastic, customer-focused Bilingual Office Assistant to join the Department of Youth, Family, and Senior Services. This full-time position is ideal for a highly organized professional who is fully fluent in both English and Spanish and enjoys serving a diverse community.As the first point of contact for residents, families, seniors, and community partners, you will play a vital role in ensuring that City information, services, and programs are accessible to both English- and Spanish-speaking residents. We are looking for someone who can communicate confidently, professionally, and compassionately in both languages while providing exceptional customer service.Key ResponsibilitiesWelcome and assist residents and visitors in person and by telephone in English and Spanish.Provide accurate information about City programs, services, events, and resources.Respond to inquiries and connect residents with appropriate staff or service providers.Perform recordkeeping, data entry, document scanning, and filing.Prepare correspondence, reports, and other administrative documents.Support department staff with a variety of administrative and office functions.Help ensure timely and consistent communication with the community across both languages.QualificationsThe successful candidate will possess:High school diploma or equivalent.At least one year of administrative or office support experience.Full bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish (speaking, reading, and writing required).Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite applications.Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.Valid driver's license with a good driving record, and reliable transportation. The starting hourly range is $22.61- $23.75, depending on qualifications, plus excellent benefits, including Maryland State Retirement.
